Re: Smack My Bitch Up

Yeah! Only now you spoiled it for everyone who hadn't seen it. I never know movie/video/book surprises. The Crying Game revelation shocked me.

Re: Smack My Bitch Up

It's okay, because anyone who hasn't seen it already won't, because MTV never plays videos anymore. Neither does MTV2. Sigh, how quickly it was corrupted.

Regardless, I will edit my comment.

You can't just say "C-ville." I had to stare at it for a second, because it made no sense for you to have been into Dave Matthews in Centreville. (MY C-ville) However, I bet EVERYONE in Virginia knows what I mean when I say B'Burg, since the school is way cooler and stuff. ;)

As if the individual towns and cities in NoVa really matter. Don't you just tell people what exit to take? "C-ville" is Charlottesville for a number of reasons.
1. Thomas Jefferson, our Nation's third president and the author of the Declaration of Independence, had his famous home Monticello there, and founded the University of Virginia there. What presidents are from Centrervile?
2. Charlottesville is way cooler than Centrerville. And prettier.
3. Cause it was my post!

The comparison was not between Centreville and Charlottesville, Mr. Doom. In fact, I am inclined to agree that Charlottesville is prettier than Centreville. And Monticello is kinda cool. I'm just sayin' not everyone looks at "C-ville" and says, "Oh! He must mean Charlottesville since Thomas Jefferson lived there and founded a school that isn't good at football."

And Dave Matthews fans would know what you're talking about, even if they don't know about TJ or Monticello or feckin' Bodo's or UVa.

My college roommie was from Centerville, as was this dude I was moderately obsessed with for a while, who The Seel (taker of all things virginal) thought was going to date rape me or something. Even though he (dude of my obsession) was even smaller than The Seel.

Crikey!

I believe all the kids in Centreville went to my high school (unless they went to a private school), so I might recognize some of the people you're talking about. or... at least have pictures of them in my yearbooks. :)

Yes, I am pretty sure they went to public school. Class of 1992. Melissa Wright and Jason Beard (and probably 100 other members of the UVa class of 1996) :-)

Melissa Wright definitely rings a bell. When I get home I'll grab my '92 yearbook and have a look!

She has a sister, Stacy, that graduated in like 1994 or 1995. Melissa's best friend was from Centerville too, I think. Kim Scott.

Okay, looked'em up! I definitely recognized Melissa and Kim. They were varsity cheerleaders when I was a freshman there. :) I didn't see Jason Beard, maybe he went to a neighboring high school.
